We are over halfway through the July term in ELS. Some of the highlights of the last few weeks were… our big ELS birthday party to celebrate all the birthdays this term. We had a delicious three-course meal and were serenaded by our own ELS musicians (who are pretty amazing!). Last week, our school spent two days at Goudini Spa relaxing and fellowshipping together. On Friday, Cobus Mitone came and spoke to us about 1 Peter and about remembering the Word God spoke to each of us in the beginning. It was a really timely word for us as a school and encouraging for us to stay the course. Other than that, we have had fun class times, good testimonies from outreach at the farm schools, and blessed times of intercession and worship together.
The TESOL students are in their last week of the school. Next week they will finish up lecture phase and have just a few weeks of practicum teaching to complete before they are certified English teachers. All of the TESOL students are non-native English speakers, so it has really been a challenge for them. TESOL is a very intensive course, and they have been studying around the clock. They are truly exhausted in every way. Keep them in your prayers for these final eight days! (Emily Beliles)
