YWAM Discipleship Training School

A DTS For Everyone

The Discipleship Training School (YWAM-DTS) seeks to bring you into a more intimate relationship with God. It also gives you an opportunity to discover your passions and your part in God’s purposes for the world. It is for those who long to follow Jesus in new ways with a different perspective.

The course is a full-time program and lasts about five months. It consists of two parts: the Lecture Phase and Outreach Phase. In the lecture phase, you will learn more about God and His world. You’ll learn not only from lectures but also from community living and practical training. The outreach phase focuses on applying what you’ve learned in the classroom through an intense, cross-cultural experience.

The September DTS offers different “tracks” (a focus on a particular type of activity alongside the DTS curriculum. During your school, you will journey with others with the same interest and passion, and also grow together in community and reach out to others in your giftings.

IDENTITY TRACK

God’s desire for us is that we will have security and identity in who He has made us to be. He made each and every one of us unique. He delights in how He created us, and how we express our love for Him, for one another and the world around us. He created us for blessings.

His original intent was to lavish His love on His children. However, many times we still live with a sense of inadequacy, inferiority, and fear of not being loved by anyone, let alone God. If you are looking to be who you were meant to be, to live incredible experiences with God and still have an amazing time in South Africa, this school is for you!

Testimonials about the DTS

DTS started a journey in me, to be intentional with people around me and explore the bottomless love of God. To know God more clears my identity and creates strong friendships.
- Kabelo Mokoena, Former DTS Student
My DTS was an unforgettable experience! I could know God and go deeper into a relationship with him. Knowing him and who He made me to be opened space for healing and to live in complete freedom. I also had a chance to know new cultures, learn from them, and worship the same God together in many different ways! If you want to know your identity, you need to know the creator.
