October is breast cancer awareness month, and YWAM Worcester recently hosted a tea for about sixty ladies from town to make them aware and educate them concerning this subject. Not only was this a time of focusing on physical health but there was also a guest speaker that had the opportunity to give spiritual input and encouragement. For some of these ladies it was their first time to attend a meeting here on our base and watching the YWAM Worcester promotional video really gave them a good understanding of our activities in and around the base.
This last week many of the leaders from the base also had the opportunity to attend the regional leadership gathering hosted at Goudini Spa close to the YWAM Worcester base. They were encouraged by the fellowship as leaders from the whole of the Southern Africa region attended and everyone had the opportunity to catch up on old friendships. It was such a great delight to have attendees from the Indian Ocean islands, including Madagascar as well as the Seychelles Islands. They left the meetings excited about what the future holds for YWAM Southern Africa and motivated to see God’s plans unfold as they continue to reach out to the lost and trust God to influence every sphere of society.
