This winter the Building Hope ministry launched a mercy ministry project to provide blankets for those that are cold and in need.
They launched a fundraising project with the following slogan: “Make a heart warm by donating a blanket”, and even took to the streets with banners to give the people of Worcester the opportunity to be part of the giving.
Their goal was to get 500 new or used blankets that were in good condition. People had the opportunity to donate R60 for the purchase of a blanket or drop one of their own blankets off at different collection points in town, including the YWAM base.
They were blessed to be able to give to many in town and to know that in these cold and rainy nights at least there will be a little bit more warmth for those they were able to give a blanket to.
