Last Tuesday Loren Cunningham was scheduled to speak to us over GENESIS, but due to illness we got two for the price of one, as Darlene Cunningham so eloquently put it. Darlene spoke inspiringly together with her son, David. David informed us about some new developments in the mission, not the least in the field of media and communication.
â€YWAM is called to pioneering and being on the cutting edge – not having to be the best, but always striving for excellence,†Darlene said.
David talked about how God is stirring things in the world today and that we want to be where God is moving.
– â€We must be communicators and engage in content, if we are to have an impact on the world today,†he said. â€But we need to blog and communicate with integrity and not be part of the gossip, which is witchcraft. We want to use media in a non-commercial way, getting the untold stories out there. These are the stories of hope in the midst of tragedy.â€
David was telling us the story about the Japanese woman who had been hidden beneath a pile of rubble for eight days, found by a YWAM media team being lead by the Spirit, making headlines around the world.
Darlene challenged us to pray â€How can I help bring in the harvest?†and David said that we need multiple talents to be effective inthe world today.
